Susan Brind Morrow is a poet, linguist, and translator of ancient Egyptian mythology. During her undergraduate years, Morrow traveled to Egypt and Sudan where she studied Arabic oral tradition and cultural perceptions of nature. Later she studied under renowned author Ellie Weisel as she completed her doctorate degree. Her celebrated works explore language and metaphors drawn from natural landscapes, and her papers in the Sowell include carefully compiled research journals that showcase her talents as an illustrator and closer observer. –Sydney Lundberg
